What a poorly written protocol, and a poorly written manual. Their terminology of application and transport layer. They think they are being smart by using these terms from the OSI Model, but they are being used wrongly. So don't try to use their terminology.

Hi everyone,
I have a new question: How to read the value from a register?
I want to read the value from register 0×41, but I don't know how to do it with VISA read.
this is the command format:

I also notice that in the inbound (host to module) command format, the bit 24 is: R=0,W=1.
If I set R=0 in bit 24, that means I want to read value from some register? but if so, what should I write in bits 15--0?

Row-L: And why is this question NOT placed in the correct forum?
cantata2014:
So agian, what have you tried?
What do you not understand from the protocol?
What does the manual explain about the data field when writing?
