issues when creating a periodic io server. i am not getting the option to select I/O SERVER. Can anyone help with this please. i have created my project library. i am using labview 2013 and the dsc module

Hi Mark,

you apparently use a Student edition with active license, but end of lifetime (yellow square!).

The evaluation period of the Professional Development System has already ended (half red square).

DSC may require a full "Base" license, maybe even the ProfessionalDevelopmentSystem!

And you still don't show the full software tree in MAX…

Suggestion: Call your local NI sales guy to discuss any license questions. They will know about all implications…

Again: Talk with your lecturer on how to setup a fully functional LabVIEW installation needed for your task. The school has to provide that information…

I spoke with my lecturer. He said the dsc module is not installed.

Yet when i try to install dsc, it tells me i have to install labview - even though this is already installed and working on my PC.

I repeat my last message:

You only have a Student edition, marked with a yellow square in the License Manager.

DSC module most probably requires a "full" LabVIEW edition (any of Base, Full, Professional) with a valid license (green square)!

Again I repeat my suggestions of the last message:

- Talk with your lecturer, your school needs to provide a full LabVIEW isntallation and/or license to enable you to fulfill your task.

- Talk with your local NI sales guy how to solve these license issues!

Yes, you can load LV2013 VIs with LV2014.

Remarks:

- Once you save them with LV2014 you cannot open them with LV2013.

- To open them again in LV2013 you can save them for "previous version" in LV2014 (see the File menu for that option).
