hw for real time control

Hi All,

I would like to develop a control loop using labview and a hardware. I know that I need Run-Time hw but I am not familiar with that. I am reading the ni pages to learn them but still I do not find the right hw. Can somebody provide me some info what hw is needed for me?

I need 6 pieces analog input and 6 pcs analog output. The highest signal frequencies are about 800kHz.

Hi Tomi,

at which frequence your control loop should work? Are the frequencies to read at 800kHz AND the control loop freq. OR only the analog signal input frequencies?

In the NI Measurement and Automation Catalog 2005 you can see a summary about the realtime modules.

Centralised you can conclude (hardware | control rate | software):

- Compact Field Point | ms | LabVIEW Real-Time Module
- PXI/Desktop/Compact Vision System | us | LabVIEW Real-Time Module
- CompactRIO/Reconfigurable I/O | ns | LabVIEW FPGA Module
