how to use same controls in different tabs

To make the control float, move it off of the tab, select it, then move it with the keyboard's arrow keys, not the mouse.

What Dennis said is true for manually floating the control.

In my case, I dropped the control off the tab, which then makes it a part of the pane of the front panel rather than the tab.  And I used the position controls to place it elsewhere picking coordinates that appear to place it on the tab control, though the control is actually not a part of the panel of any specific.

If the control would happen to be in the same place on every tab, you don't need any of the programming control I show.

If the control happens to be  in the same place but only on certain tabs, then you use only the "Visible" property node that I show.

If the control happens to be in different locations on the different tabs, then you need to use the "position" property node that I show.
