how to avoid system-locking when running an application

My Windows-System is configured to lock the workstation automatically when no keyboard-activity is encountered for a defined time. How can I avoid this when my LabView-application is running?

I bought one of these and it worked great.

It creates an imperctible mouse jiggle every 20 seconds which keeps the computer from locking out.

Now this may technically violate some rules that your IT department set up.  Please don't tell my IT guys that we are using it.

Actually, I tend to only use it when I need to such as when we are actually running a test.
