how do you read version 5.0 VI file with version 8.5?

Hello,

I have the LabView Developer Suite 8.5 and came across some version 5.0 files that would be helpful in my job. Unfortunately, I get the error message that 8.5 won't read 5.0 VIs.  Is there any conversion utility available?

Hello Ron,

opening your 5.0 file with 6.0 or 6.1 and saving it for that version is all you need to do. (I think 7.0 and 7.1 will also work, but I'm not sure). If you don't have access to these versions, you can upload your VIs to the forum and someone will save it for you in a higher version.
