If your gif is not corrupted, it should work.

Just drag and drop the gif file to your front panel, then consider it as a Decoration.

oh, wow. That really works. Thanks. I have a little difficulty now,i can't seem to add more than one gif to one VI. I have a floor plan in jpg format and i want to add this fan to the same front panel. Any ideas on how to go about this?
