generating TTL signals

I am working with a USB camera with external triggering (using a BNC connection) connected to labview and I have been reading in other forum discussions that a TTL signal must be generated. What is a TTL signal and how do I generate it to trigger the camera? Thank you

You need a simple device that has digital I/O for the 0 to 5 volt pulse. This could be an NI USB-6501, an arduino, or any number of other devices.
