distributed system manager 2010 firewall setting issue

Hi

I have just updated to LabVIEW2010 and reinstalled all the development suite components.

One problem I found is that the windows XP firewall blocks my cRIO to be displayed in the tree list, even after I specified the software as an exception in the firewall. But as soon as I disabled the firewall, I can see the cRIO.

Is there anyway I can see the target without turning off the firewall? I reckon I defintely missed something. Thanks.

Thanks GovBob, sorry for the late response, I have been away for the a month.

It is a very useful article, however I couldn't find anything in it in regards to the NI distributed system manager. Tried to add couple of ports could be related, but none of them solve the problem.

It was fine when I was using the Labview 2009, so it should be something related to the 2010 version.

Regards,

Marco
