cut and paste

Dear sirs/madams,

Is there a good way to cut a case structure containing a reasonably large amount of code and paste it elsewhere (in another case structure, in fact) without creating havoc?

Do you want to cut and paste just for development or are you wanting to do this at runtime?  Cutting an pasting from my experience is pretty stable even for large case structures.  to cut/copy a case structure simply click the edge of the structure and ctrl-c to copy , or ctrl-x to cut  and ctrl-v to paste

if you want to duplicate a case because you only have to change a couple of things you can right click the case and select duplicate case then you just have to edit the case or event criteria

*note if you duplicate a case that contains controls, indicators they also be duplicated

If this is a generic structure that you will place and customize again and again, you might want to cutomize your pallete and use "Merge VI" as suggested in this nugget...

Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T
