How can I create a trial vi. i.e it expires after some runs or days..

You need to put a date-checker code inside your VI as the first task. Check for some maximum date to make it able to be run. If this date is crossed, just popup a dialog msg to the user & stop the VI & go out.

Or else, you can write the current date & time of the first run of the VI to an INI file under the header [First Run].

Then compare the current date & time of the subsequent run(s) of the VI with this [First Run] data from the INI & allow the VI to be run or not, based on the comparison of these dates upto a certain predetermined no. of days, inside your VI.
