configure serial port to 230400 baud rate

When I try to configure my serial port to 230400 I get an error code "Error -1073807330 occurred at Property Node (arg 2) in VISA Configure Serial Port (Instr).vi

Possible reason(s):

VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF001E) The specified state of the attribute is not valid, or is not supported as defined by the resource.

Is it not possible to set up my port to that speed?

I always thought the maximum speed for a serial port was 115200 bps. I looked in the device manager and I can set it up to 128000. I really don't think it can handle 230400.

Neither my built-in or USB-RS232 support that speed either. NI (and other's I'm sure), sell serial interfaces that go higher. Check out http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/10520.
