changing latency of my 458 connection

I have serveral EZ Zone PM controllers that have been having 485 read issues with.  The latency time for these are recommended to be set to 1ms.  Could someone point me to an article on how to change the latency settings.  I assume it is done under the Windows device manager for comm/LPT.
