can't connect "Scale By Power of 2" to "FP write.vi"

My inlet for SBP2 are ok but the outlet won't connect properly to the value terminal of FPwrite.vi. It is supposed to be a orange wire but it stays dashed.

Hi,

A dashed line means that the wire is broken - you are probably connecting different data types together.  If you take your mouse over the broken wire, it will tell you exactly what is wrong with the datatypes.  The Scale by power of 2 outputs a double.  Vaild data types for the FP write are: Float (DBL), Float Array, Boolean, and Boolean Array.

I hope this helps!
