automatic measurement

Hello All 

I am a first year PhD student and just recently started using LabVIEW in order to do some impedance measurements, however  I have to wait an hour in between each measurement, so the experiment tends to be long because I have to be in the lab to take each result manually.

What I was hoping for is to know if there is a way to make LabVIEW take a measurement automatically every hour, any help would be appreciated since I am a complete beginner to using LabVIEW.

Sure it is possible, but you need to explain your hardware setup in details. Also, what kind of parameters you want to change. I guess you want to measure the same sample with different parameters? Or if you need to change the samples physically, you need a sort of automatization (a "robot" to change your contacts between different samples)...

Finally, if you are a beginner, you should really take the online courses "Core 1-2-3" before starting your project!
