Why does my divide have an error passthrough

Solved!

Since you do get an error terminal, wouldn't it be a typical first step in troubleshooting to actually connect an indicator to that error terminal. Maybe it tries to tell you something. 😄

For me, dynamic data hide way too much and we cannot really tell what is inside by looking at a picture. You are dividing two different signals. Could it be that they don't match up in the number of channels or number of points or similar (analog vs digital, etc)?

Connect an error indicator and tell us what it says.

Wow, I completely missed that really simple one.

I now have to go change it back to see what it says.

You are probably correct in that it was two different data types.

I have a bit of that flowing around in my vi.

This issue is quite common with the dynamic data type.  I can't blame you as much as I would blame NI for promoting the DDT for new users of LabVIEW, marketing it as easy to use.
