Why does LV7.1 sometimes uses just 1 and sometimes both CPUs during devellopment?

Hi all,

this is probably more a Q to NIs LV devellopers, but anyhow:
I recently switcht to a new dual-opteron workstation.  Executing LV code is amoung the very few programs that really makes use of both CPUs and uses them quite good. Have watched this with taskmanager under XPP.
But with this tool I also watched abehaviour when using the LV7.1  IDE to, say, load a large project or recompile it due to typdef changes at a very depply nested level. In such cases the action takes several seconds. Sometimes LV utilises both CPUs to about - say - 70%, but on other occations it uses just one of those CPUs to about - say - 90%. I saw both behaviours when loadimg my project and when recompiling it.
Anyone can come up with an explanation and maybe some hint for improved utilization of both CPUs?
