Why FFT spectrum gives RMS values?

Solved!
Go to solution

Dear Sir

I want to get Pk to Pk value on FFT spectrum. But it gives RMS values. Can you please guide me how can we get Peak to peak value on the FFT spectrum. Attach is the vi for example.

Kind Regards

What does it mean to get the Peak to Peak value of an FFT spectrum?  [I understand getting the P-P value of the signal ...].  Note that the Averaging Parameters you attached (which shows RMS Averaging, by the way) refers to how the spectra will be averaged, and RMS makes (logical) sense in many cases, but I'm at a loss to understand Peak-to-Peak averaging here ...
