Really, It isn't super mandatory. But like closing the door after you leave it is good manners. You probably ARE closing the VISA session anyway. Tools>>Options>>Enviornment. Automatically Close VISA Sessions is default (Double check me here I haven't had a default LabVIEW.ini in forever)
