And my typing skills suck now!  3D digrams? what will I do without a graphical programming enviornment?

Just when I had a good handle on the terms 'top level vi' and 'sub vi'!

I can confirm the existence of the 3D diagram and I'm attaching an example of such code. One caveat: with your puny 2D viewers, the perspective might make the code harder to read:

Hmm, I just imagined 3D stacked sequence structures 😄

Did you mean a 3D representation of current stacked (which'd be good), or stacked sequences in 3 dimensions (which'd be horrible)? 🙂

OK, we're digressing off-topic here.  I am still waiting for some leaks!

Let me guess the new ground-breaking features of 2016:

  1. Improved performance and stability
  2. New icon!
  3. More example code!
  4. If you press CONTROL-I you can make text italics!
  5. Abiity to insert Emojis into your code!

That existed in 2015 if you added the INI key QuickBold="True" to your LabVIEW.ini

Also rumors could only be perpetuated by those who didn't take place in the beta, since the beta members as mentioned already, agreed to an NDA.  If you really wanted to know what was going to be new in 2016, you could have taken part in the beta, and helped make it better.

Oh and in addition to what is mentioned as "In Beta" in the idea exchange, you can also read up a bit on what JeffK has mentioned in this LAVA thread regarding VI Macros getting more attention in 2016.

I will say that probably the biggest new feature is also available as a prototype form in LabVIEW 2015.  You just have to find the installer VIs in the LabVIEW folder.

As nice as that would be, no.  I do not expect many to know about this one.
