How you connecting to SQL? use UDL file if not used. Read page 3-5 and read how to configure UDL file. Make sure you following same procedure

I suggest you to go step by step. 

 

1. Make sure UDL is configured as I told.

2. share your VI(in 2011) so that we can check any issue with the VI only.
