Hi,

 It's a TI/Stellaris hardware and software.

My original post is here Stellaris Virtual Serial Port driver error in Labview

http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/tiva_arm/f/908/p/322370/1123916.aspx#1123916

The boards not working are:

1)Tiva Launchpad http://www.ti.com/tool/ek-tm4c123gxl

2) LM4F232 USB+CAN Evaluation kit http://www.ti.com/tool/ek-lm4f232

Both of them are using Stellaris Virtual Serial Port driver.

All the symptoms are identical in mine and James's (original poster) case

Thanks for looking at this.

Hi Dennis,

Did you have a chance to have a look at this issue?

Should I send you a Tiva Launchpad hardware?

or should I ask the guys from TI to do that?

We are trying to use it in a students lab, so it is imoortant for it to be resolved.

Regards

I would have to say no to you sending me any hardware. I really don't know why you cannot set a high baud rate. Perhaps you should open a ticket with NI. There is some incompatibility issue between the Windows driver and VISA.

TI has posted a firmware update to the TIVA board. This fixes thsi issue so it now works with LabVIEW.

Follow this port:

http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/tiva_arm/f/908/t/322370#pi239031349=2

You'll need this programmer:

Hi Sanky,

What versions of LabVIEW, NI-Serial, and NI-VISA do you have installed? Making sure you have the newest drivers that are compatible with your version of LabVIEW is a good first step to take.

Hi Sanky,

It was a long time ago and since then our students in a lab have no problem at all with serial communication.
