The first problem:
volume knob range starts at -1 instead of zero
Vmax is zero instead of 1000 => volume knob has no range
Vstep is 0 instead of 100=> volume knob has only two values -1 and 0
solved:
right click on Vmax which is set to 1000,
Data operations/Make current value default
right click on Vstep which is set to 100,
Data operations/Make current value default
right click on volume knob which is set according to Vmax and Vstep: from 0 to 1000, in 100 increments
Data operations/Make current value default.
Next time I opened it everything was ok.
