Using a project slows LV down to a crawl

Hola.

I have a system that is behaving strangely.

If I open my top-level VI directly, no problem.

If I open the project I created for it, it takes several minutes to load the project, and once it's loaded I can code, but any time I create a new VI and save it the first time, there is a 30-60 second delay.

However, things were working fine yesterday.

But then back to the strange behavior today.

So then I decided to create a new project file.  LV creates the empty project with no issue.  BUT when I save the empty project, it slows to a crawl.  Creating a new VI and saving it in the project yields the same delays.

However, I am betting if I just come back tomorrow this will work fine.

Any ideas?  (Windows 7 SP1, and everything else on this PC seems to work fine)

Are you using auto-populate of folders?

Nope.  Empty and without anything done to it.

Try moving your LabVIEW ini file to a new location. When you restart LabVIEW it should create a new one with the defaults. The ini is in the same directory as the LV executable.
