Using Labview to make a custom wave for daq assistant to output

Solved!
Go to solution

Hey there, I have a table of x values which I have made into a wave form.

I was curious as to whether this wave form could be outputted by my Ni Daq via Daq assistant, or is there an alternative method for outputting a table of values via a daq card?

Thank you

Okay, I've more found the problem to be that I can't get the daq assistant to show options like it is here

Anyone have any suggestions please?

That image shows a Simulate Signal function and not a table so I don't understand your question.

Okay, two separate questions then, sorry

How do I get a series of x values made into an output for the daq

The second question is how did this person get all the options for the daq assistant/the daq output?

That's what I have, and I'm unsure how to put wire inputs into it

Please don't attach images from some odd third party site.

It doesn't look like you've configured the assistant or something is corrupt with it.

A table is a 2D string array so you'll have to use the Index Array function to get the specific column and then convert to dbl. Does it also contain timing information?

Sorry about the image, just wanted to show my set up (I'm very my a newbie to labview)

Is there anyway to configure or uncorrupt the daq assistant?

I have a column for the time and a column for the displacement

Thank you for this help by the way
