Trouble interfacing Linkam PE94 with labview

Hi everyone,

 

I am trying to use labview 2013 as an interface for a Linkam PE94 temperature controller via a RS232 cable.

I can read from the instrument using the "T" command and a simple read/write program. However, I cannot get it to accept commands that control settings such as the heating rate command ("R1") or  temperature limit command ("L1").

 

Has anyone had a similar problem or perhaps could suggest where I might be going wrong? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks Sabri,

 

I have seen this forum and tried to use the .vi attached within it. My instrument only responds to the T command. If I run the vi.s that tell the instrument to start ("S") or to set the temperature limit nothing happens - I don't get an error message - just no reaction from my instrument.

 

I can set the parameters from the front panel and use labview to record the temperature remotely but ideally I would like to controll everything from labview.
