We have just started using Lab view with no prior experience, for aquiring analog voltage signal from angle measurement sensor thro NI 2009 USB DAQ. The signal is taken for full 360 degree rotation of an axle, whose angular movement is driven in equal steps and remains in the state for atleast 4-6 seconds. Basically, we need to aquire the signal when there is a change in the output voltage of the sensor. Or in other words, we need the voltage data aquired when there is a change in the axle angle(On Demand).
Since the state is maintained for a long time, could be ideal to use the sensor state change signal as a trigger to aquire and hold until the next state change.
The task could include the following process :
>Sense the voltage change
>Use the state change as trigger
>Trigger to open the gate to capture data
>Close the gate after a small delay
>Convert the data capture for Excel display
If there are any standard templates , request you to share or suggest a simple method to do this task on demand with NI USB2009 & LabView.
