I am converting a project from LabVIEW 8.6 to LabVIEW 2012sp1f5. When doing a mass compile in 2012 I am getting errors regarding lvdaq.dll. This seems to be related to this issue found in the Knowledge database http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/5EB3B1EA7C41267E86256C95006F488D "Lvdaq File Missing When Loading LabVIEW Executable" The lvdaq.dll is missing.
The option to install the NI-DAQ (Legacy) support has been removed from the latest driver support package.
I have the following questions:
Is the NI-DAQ (Legacy) still supported?
Is there issues using NI-DAQ (Legacy) with LV2012?
Is there issues using NI-DAQ (Lagacy) with Windows 7?
Is there a migration path to easily replace the NI-DAQ (Legacy)?

Traditional DAQ was actually made obsolete with the release of DAQmx with LabVIEW 7 so an 8.6 program should have been written with DAQmx. The latest traditional version is 7.4.4. There is no official/released version for windows 7. There is a beta version for 32-bit windows 7. I really have no idea how stable it is, sorry. There is no easy migration path to DAQmx. The functions are completely different. See this for some help.

This page may help you:

It shows that Traditional (Legacy) NI-DAQ is suppported for LabVIEW 2012. Also see the link from that page for "Traditional DAQ Palette does not appear in LabVIEW". You may need to download the NI-DAQ 7.4.4 installer, uninstall support for your old version of LabVIEW, and reinstall the DAQ driver.
