Tektronix AD007 Stanford Research 785

Our EE shop already has the Tektronix AD700 gpib to enet adapter, so I'm trying to make it work.

Using Mac OS X with virtual box guest OS windows 7, MAX 4.7.0f4, I can write to a Stanford Research 785 signal analyzer via the adapter, but when I query I get an error back. The 785 will work otherwise remotely with a different enet adapter, using different software, i.e. python scripts through the prologix enet-gpib.

And what has this to do with LabVIEW? Or with any NI product for that matter?

If I can get it to work properly with MAX, then I can get it to work with LabView
