TDMS plugin for open office

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

I am working on my final year project at university which includes a system which stores data into a tdms file, the only problem is I have Microsoft office on my tablet and so cannot install any additional exe on to it. But i have a laptop which runs open office 4.0.1, and i have downloaded the open effice plugin for TDMS but this comes back with an error which states that i need to use a version of open office which is greater than 2.0, has anyone else ran into this problem, if so is there a fix for this as it would be very useful in my final year presentation to show off actual results from my project.

Thanks,

Jason

Hi,

If I'm not mistaken, you're installing the plugin from this link: http://www.ni.com/example/30951/en/. If so, please take note that that plug in is only up to Open Office 3.3. If it give you a warning that it needs to be greater than 2.0, perhaps you could try install Open Office 3.3 instead?

Warmest regards,

Thanks guys,

Although I now have Microsoft Office, finding and installing an older version of open office did seem to work.

Once again thanks guys,

Jason
