String empty when project close and open

Hi everybody,

How can I set some text data into a string that will not be deleted when I will close and open my Labview project.

I have created a module and the text (which is a macro code to send to Excel) is cleared when I close my project... I have to paste the text code everytime..

Do you know what I am making wrong ?

Hi Neercs,

some LabVIEW basics:

To set a default value of a control/indicator you usually fill in the value, followed by right-click on the FP element to select data operation -> set current value as default.

Or you use the edit menu entry "Set all current values as default".

Don't forget to save your VI after doing so…
