Sound output only on two channels but system set to 7.1 sound

LabVIEW2011, Win7, Creative audigy 2 soundcard and/or USB sound device  set to 7.1 sound

 

The sound2.llb ... info found the card but only allow to open 2 output channels giving error 4811 when trying to configure for more than 2 channel output.

However the OS audio test 'ping' every speaker :smileysad:

 

Any hints welcome

 

I attached my test vi. you will need at least one wav sound file ... (or try to rescue the diagram values... )

It runs with one or two channels but fail on higher channel counts.

Hi Henrik,

 

what I can recommend to you is directly using the Driver API of your soundcard device if available.
