Single loop iteration to store data

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

would it be a good practice to use a while loop with:

  • its condition terminal forced to TRUE,
  • uninitialized shift register

The idea is to store information useful to a VI only, and avoid adding a shift register to the while inside main vi.

I have attached two VIs as example.

Thanks

What you are trying to do was already done years back and it became a standard practice. Check about the Action Engine

It's rather ironic that your suggestion is actually the opposite of what your sig states.  😄

thank you for the Action Engine link.

I now know that using "USR" is a good and standard practice.

In the spirit of 's sig, I gave you a kudo for your original post because I thought it was pretty awesome that you thought it out by yourself.  😄
