Simutaneous use of elapsed timer and user click requirement

Hi,

I have trouble to program this: I would like that after a certain number of clicks in the screen made by the user, a message appears. No trouble with this, I am able to do this. But I would like that if he does not within x sec the VI stops. I use elapsed timer express vi for this and I compare elapsed time with x sec. I used a subvi for the click requirement.

In this way the elapsed timer works well but not the click requirement. If I program each thing separately the vi both works but when together it doesn't work.

Help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi nousome,

Do you have access to event structure?

Base or full version?  If you have the full version you can use event structure.

Yes I can use event structure but I have difficulties to use elapsed time with this.

I had some difficulties to save this VI in LV8.  Let me know if you could not open the VI.

Won't increasing the time out to 5 seconds work in itself?
