Siemens S7 300 PLC and Labview Communication

Hi Shammek

I am also going to use the same PLC and same Communication processor also. i had gothrough  your discussion message..  still i have some doubt in that.

We are going to communicate the communication processor via ethernet(TCP VI's) Communication. Whether it is possible.

If it is possible means which command we need to use for communication.

Wheteher we need to form modbus protocol command.

Thanks

Siva

Many years ago I used layer two Ethernet to send and receive a data blocks from Labview (A UDP telegram) Not sure what function on the Siemens side any more to send and receive data by socket in the PLC.  Have one Data Block (DB) for Produced data  and 1 DB for consumed data. This work's very well without any OPC Servers and a standard NIC Card in your PC.   Try the following link
