Setting DAC device attenuation in Labview

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I'm now using NI PXI 4463, a PXI DAC device, to generate the test signals. I learned from its manual that this device can provide three gain options (0dB, -17dB, -37dB). However, I cannot find in Labview an explicit option to control the gain, or equivalently, the attenuation. I know in the DAC assistant we need to set the max and min output value for signal output range. Would Labview set the DAC device attenuation based on the range setting?

Thanks,

Kyle

Thanks Jeff! That seems an advanced property setting in DAQmx palette. I was thinking whether setting the voltage range in the DAQ assistant express VI would set the gain automatically. If that is not the case, I will go try your approach.
