I have an XY plot where i need to see if the data falls in or outside a certain area, i can do this within a square like shape, but should this be possible with a round shape, a rotated square shape or custom shapes...:
Create an image from your green shapes (with filled shapes) and use it as overlay (or background) image in the XY graph.
Now get the (frontpanel) coordinates of your XY point (using a method of the XY graph) and compare this coordinates with the overlay image coordinates. When you hit a green pixel you are inside the target structures…
