Select output of a SubVI

Hello,

in my SubVI you can enter your name with a string-input.

Now i want to use this string (name) in another VI, so the name have to be a output of the SubVI.

But i can´t select the string-input as a output?

Is this right? How can i solve this problem?

I have no idea what you are trying to describe.  Please attach your VI's.

Are you trying to figure out how to assign connectors to the connector pane?

I think you would get a solution instantly if you would attach a simplified version of your VI and explain the problem in more detail.
