Save spreadsheet on sharepoint

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello all,

I searched already some time on the internet and I didn't find any information that helped me solve my problem.

I have a spreadsheet which I save at the moment localy on my computer.

Now I would like to save it on the windows sharepoint:

C:\Users --> https://company.i/departement/Shared/Subject

Can someone tell me how to change that in an easy way? When I select it by hand it's working without any problem.

I feel it should be because of backward slash "\"
-I read somewhere that not suggesting to use string to path and instead use build path recursively to get path.
Thanks

Try getting rid of the https:  and the forwards slashes.

While you would use the https: and foward slashes if you were accessing sharepoint from a browser, I found that there is also a network file path to the same directories that you could enter into Windows Explorer to get to sharepoint like they are normal network folders.  Contact your IT department to find out what that path would be.

PS:  "Department" is spelled wrong in your picture.

Hello all,

Thank you for your help.

Here the easiest way I found due to your helping information 🙂

1. You go on the sharepoint and open it in the windows explorer (see attachment)

2. You right click on a file which is located where you want to save documents

3. Click on properties

4. Copy "Location:"

5. Use this as the file path and it should work

Thank you guys
