What is this device and what sort of computer interface does it have? You can use LabVIEW to control just about anything you want if you have the knowledge of the connection type, the protocol, and are willing to invest the time.

Hi Bartek,

I totall agree with Dennis_Knutson, the most important at this step is to understand how do you want to communicate with SINUMERIK 810T? Do you have any idea? Essentially, as far as I can see it is a PLC, you can use OPC Servers to communicate PLCs. Essentially, maybe the vendor has an OPC Server and you can just communicate as an OPC Client from LabVIEW.

There are tons of methods in LabVIEW to communicate with other devices/PLCs, it is important for you to know the specs of your device. Do you have an idea or direction to start with?

My goal is to control a virtual model of miling mahine by SINUMERIK 810T, but i need a adapter to connect it with my computer. So i think o trying  connect my ps2 (USB) pad with labiew and control virtual model in solidworks. I already established conection between SW and LV.  

 Any idea how to conect ps2 pad with  Softmotion , any tutorial or tips ?
