Run when opened / labview exit when finished. A dangerous combination. How do I edit the VI now??

As long as this thread got bubbled up to the top, here is the VI I use to exit LabVIEW. It checks the currnet environment and will either exit of simply abort the VI so you don't get into this situation.

The interactive mode is used to allow a VI to be called in the case of an automation system where a user isn't present.

In the meantime, we also got the LabVIEW project and you should use it for any serious work.

If you open the VI from within the project, it will not run when openend.
