Regarding Run a Labview .vi file in LabVIEW Signal Express 2.5.1-Tektronix Edition:

Dear Sir/Madam, we are currently using Digital OscilloscopeTDS3032C for our laboratory measurements and also using the NI Signal Express Software 2.5.1-Tektronix Edition for controlling this instrument. Unfortunately, the inherent number of samples in the displayed power spectrum within the signal express software is not sufficient for our applications. I have written a simple LabVIEW VI to perform the FFT of an input time domain signal with increased number of samples in LabVIEW 2015 development system and saved for the previous version 8.5. I tried to integrate it in the Signal Express software using the RUN LabVIEW VI-8.5 option in the add step folder and unfortunately, the Signal Express software could not accept the Vi file although Vi file has no errors (showing an error as please select a vi). I kindly request you to please resolve my problem. Looking forward to your kind reply. Thanking you.

Dear Sir or Madam,

when you import a vi as a step to signal express it must be a .llb or a development distribution. Please look at this link there you can read that under notes.
