Problems using Data Socket fucntions in Linux!!!

We are developing a system using Labview but over Linux.And we are sending data to a server (Windows) using datasocket fucntions.
The problem is that everytime we open a datasocket connection it takes a long time, about 8 seconds per connection.
But we have used it in Windows ant we can open 40 connections in one second.
Why the behaviour is different over linux, and need more time to open a DS connection?
Anybody has a solution?

hi graci,

i had exactly the same problem with LV7.0 under win98. the same app ran perfect under win2000/xp. i send my code to ni, they told me the datasocket server shipped with LV7.0 dosn't work under win98. i suggest you contact ni to be sure the problem is on your side before you do further steps.
