Problem with curve detection

Hi,

I have problem with the curve detection in labview. My case is to capture an image of 2 mirror edges then detect the curve edge of each one then determine the center of it..

as you can find in the attached folder I tried IMAQ: extract curves function but it did not work on my images and I tried to draw a curves in paint and use them as input for my VI and in this case it worked well ..

Could you please help my to solve this problem..

Do you have the ability to change your lighting at all?  The lighting you have for the picture is giving you a terrible image to work with.  If you had a clearer picture, you'd likely have more success trying to find shapes within the picture.

Dear natasftw  thank you for response..

Unfortunately I can not change the lighting, but can I use some image processing or filters to solve that?
