Problem connecting to the FCO510 using RS232

Hi

I'm having trouble connecting to a FCO510 micro. When I first initialise my VI, I get a VISA Lockin VISA Lock Async.vi, error code -1073807246.  Normally I have to close Labview down and refresh the desktop a couple of times to get the VI to run.

Can anyone help me out with this one?

I'm currently using Labview 6 for this application, but I do have Labview 8.6
