I've written a VI that builds a report in Excel. Works fine in the editor mode....opens Excel, gets data, fills in report, prints report, closes Excel...perfect!
I then included it as a sub of my main vi, and built an EXE, making sure to include "_Excel Dynamic VIs.vi" when I build the EXE, but it won't send anything to the printer. It opens Excel just fine, fills in the spreadsheet with the data, and will even save the spreadsheet if I enable that in "Dispose Report.vi", but it won't send anything to the printer. I've got "wait until prints completed?" forced "True".
Only one printer configured, so that's the "default" printer.
Had the same problem with Word about a year ago and was never able to resolve it...finally solved it by calling a macro on the document to cause it to print - I don't want to have to do that here.
