Placing and routing timing violation on cRIO 9082

So you now are unable to compile at all? Did anything change in the code between working and non-working compilations?

So the following is my current situation:

 

  1. We have ONE derived-clock SCTL in the project running at 200 MHz.  It currently is an empty loop with only shift registers
  2. Attached is the Timing Error (after 11 hours of compiling using Timing Performance).  Note there actually aren't any Total Delays > 25 nS!!  And none of the paths are in the 200 MHz SCTL
  3. If I merely disable the 200 MHz SCTL everything compiles fine in ~2.5 hours and doesn't use > 60% of any FPGA resource
  4. That 200 MHz SCTL is crucial to our project!!  
  5. The 200 MHz SCTL compiles and runs fine in a smaller project

What version of RIO and Xilinx are you using? I would also like to know what modules you are using. There are a couple of known issues about this http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/EE21CD363EDE58E486257E0E0045C9A8.

 

Also I would recommend trying to use the NI cloud compile if you have not already tried and see if the issue is reproducable. Note you will need Standard Service Pack (SSP) to be able to do this.

The link above is broken for me: it produces a "HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception".

 

We currently have the following modules: 9401, 9402, 9871 (2 of them), and 9205.  We have an Ethercat extension chassis but aren't currently using it.

 

I am now trying a cloud compile.

Sorry the link was not working for me either, here it is again http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/EE21CD363EDE58E486257E0E0045C9A8?OpenDocument however I do not think it is the same issue as is in that KB because I just noticed that the 9082 does not seem to be affected.
