Phase/Time delay between two modules and correct it in the software?

How can I find the phase delay between a bridge module (1 strain gauge) and a voltage module (1 potentiometer)  and correct it in the software?

One card is 24-bit resoltion , the other is 16-bit.

Wire the same signal to both devices. Choose a waveform which will allow you to measure the delay with sufficient precision. If the devices have multiple channels, you also need to account for inter-channel delays.

Why? What does the amplitude resolution have to do with timing?

What are your two different modules? If you can share a clock, the acquisitions will be in sync.
