Hi.
Is there possible to only protect part of a labview bloack diagram? I want people to use the VI and be able to make changes to it, but some parts (Sub VI`s) I have already made and should not be modified.
With kind regards
Espen

Do you want this function?
Locking and Password Protecting a LabVIEW VI - National Instruments
Or you hope to protect a part of block diagram (while/for/etc...)

Make the parts you want to protect into subVIs and password protect those.

Hi.
No, this only allows me to password protect the hole block diagram. I only want to protect some.
I am making a labview assignment for my students, and i dont want the assigment to be to extensive. So I want to make some of the VI my self and let the studens make some of the VI themself.
I will try Lynns suggestion below and password protect some sub vi`s.
Thanks!

To avoid frustrating the students I recommend that you explain to them that you have password protected some of the subVIs and why. Some kind of mark on the subVI icon ( a small "PW" in one corner?) could be used to immediately indicate which VIs are protected.
