OpenG on a non-networked computer

Anybody know how to install openg packages (LV 8.6) on a non-networked computer WITHOUT using the PRO version of VIPM?

That method only works for the PRO version of VIPM.  I need a solution with the free version.

I did this once before, if I remember correctly you can move all the packages in the cache directory on a networked computer to a directory on the non-networked computer.  Then go to File->Add packages to package list, then select the location where you put the package files.

Ah, sorry. Didn't see that little stipulation.

That's how it is for VIPM. You could try to simply copy the directories over to the other computer, but I pretty much suspect this is not recommended since there are a number of dependencies between packages.

Good point about the dependancies.  I didn't even think about that, but if you download the packages on the networked computer and check for dependancies, then all the packages should be in the cache directory.  I don't remember having a problem with moving them directly, then again I think I downloaded and moved ALL the packages...

That's probably true, but I'll let Jim Kring or someone else from JKI voice their opinion on this since it's their baby.

That link is for OpenG Commander (which is obsolete) and is not supported/recommended for VI Package Manager.

The supported methods are to add packages to VIPM's package list using the File>>Add Packages menu option or to use a VI Package Configuration file (as described here), which is the easiest method.

If you have more questions about VIPM, we have a support forum, here:  http://forums.jkisoft.com

Thanks,
